John Myers plays four and five string bass for Hollywood Shuffle. John is a native of North Canton, Ohio, where he cut his teeth playing bass in the Hoover High School Jazz Band, as well as rock outfits Three Door Bus and Red Meat Rising.

John studied tuba at Bowling Green State University before ultimately pursuing a degree in business. He had the opportunity to travel across the country and to perform for crowds as large as 14,000 at Gund Arena in Cleveland as the bass player for the BGSU Athletic Band. During the week, he works as a manager for Rettig Music in Westlake.

John performs on Modulus, Yamaha, and Michael Kelly basses, with Hartke and Trace Elliott amplification.
